Ultra HDR Export for Lightroom Classic

Export filter plugin: merges your JPEG with an internal HDR pass into one Ultra HDR (gain map) file using uhdr_repack.

How to install

  1. Unzip the download. In Lightroom Classic, choose File → Plug-in Manager → Add and select the ExportHDR.lrplugin folder.
  2. When exporting, open Post-Process Actions, add Ultra HDR Export → Encode Ultra HDR JPEG (uhdr_repack).

  3. Under File Settings, choose JPEG (recommended) so Lightroom renders a normal SDR base; the plug-in replaces the output with an Ultra HDR .jpg. Use a color space such as sRGB as needed.

  4. Adjust Image Sizing and plug-in options as needed, then click Export.

Uploading to Instagram (feed)

For feed posts, upload the exported image through Instagram in your browser (or your usual workflow). Then:

  1. Choose Original ratio so Instagram does not crop your photo.
  2. Do not apply Instagram filters or extra corrections — keep the file as exported.

At 1080 px wide, portrait height can go up to 1440 px — aspect ratio 3:4 (replacing the older 4:5 portrait limit).
